The fuga is a polyphonic musical form based on the counterpoint development of a theme. The voices of this performance combine music, dance and visual art. There are four people on stage. Ferst Dadler is an elastic performance group based in Prague who have invited two of Berlin Echtezeitmuzik icons, Burkhard Beins and Michael Vorfeld, to collaborate on this performance.

From the idea of a theatre of percussion came the decision to expand instruments and sound objects into the performance space, following the modular character of percussion. An expansion that aims to shift the focus of the performance from human intentions and actions to the materiality and affordances of objects, space and sound itself. This fragile relationship between performers, light, objects, movement, space and silence creates an intimate situation that transcends genre. Whether it’s animism or bioacoustics, sound only exists in relation, so let’s put the relation before the individual.
